EMC consists of three parts: classroom instruction, workplace project, and presentation of results.

July 15 - Glazing, Insulation and Building Envelope
July 16 - Electrical Fundamentals
July 17 - Heating and Cooling Fundamentals
July 19 - Secondary HVAC Systems

July 21 - Plant Equipment
July 22 - Energy Auditing I
July 23 - Energy Auditing II

Workplace Project

Students return to their place of employment where they must implement their energy efficiency project based upon information obtained during classroom instruction. Following the selection of an approved energy efficiency project, with the support from NEEI staff and full access to NEEI’s resources, students gather project baseline data, implement the project, and then measure and verify project energy savings.

EMC Costs

Cost

The EMC costs $4,500 which includes, the course and all course materials, room and board, follow up assistance during the project implementation phase of the program, and an equipment lending program.
