EMC Students from Texas Achieve $898,000 in Energy Cost Avoidance.

In 2003 a group of Energy Management Certification Program participants from Texas went back to work and applied some of the energy saving techniques they had learned during the on-campus portion of EMC program. Energy Trust of Oregon and EWEB Provide Scholarships for BOC.

Energy Trust of Oregon BOC Scholarships Northwest Energy Education Institute is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of $600 scholarships for BOC students working in facilities served by the following utilities: PGE, PacifiCorp., or NW Natural.

These scholarships are made available through the generous support of The Energy Trust of Oregon. Requirements include attending all classes, completing all requirements of the course, and applying for and receiving certification in a timely manner.

    PetroAlgae Inc., a developer of systems to derive biodiesel fuels from algae, announced that it has closed on a US $10 million capital raise through the sale of approximately 3.2 million of newly-issued shares of common stock to two existing investors.

  • Raser Completes Initial Commissioning of Thermo 2 Jan 2009 | 1:00 am

    Raser Technologies Inc. announced that it is nearing completion of the commissioning process of the 50 power generation units at its first commercial-scale power plant, in Beaver County, Utah. Most of the individual units have been commissioned and placed in service. The power being generated during the commissioning period is being sold to Rocky Mountain Power in order to avoid the transmission scheduling issues associated with fluctuating power supply.
